Victoria and Andrew are such a cool couple! Hanging out with them for their engagement session was a total blast!

Victoria is a hairdresser at Touch of Class (love the hair style she chose for this shoot) and Andrew Graham is a passionate photographer (Facebook: Andrew Graham Photography), who at the moment is doing it as a hobby, with mainly landscape. I remember the point where he is now (which actually wasn’t that long ago), when I also did it as a hobby. The desire to do more crept up really quickly. I bet its going to happen with him soon too!

For this session I was able to go back to one of my favourite locations. The Querney’s building downtown at 73 Elm. Thank you Dalron for letting us use this location (again)! The last time I used it was for my High Fashion Bridal shoot, back in 2014. I’ve always wanted to go back, and when these two suggested it, I couldn’t have been more excited!

Starting there was great. It was a nice spot to hangout and let all the nervous jitters slip away. Plus it was an easy location for me to practice adding in a little video to my engagement sessions. I’m definitely not getting into videography, there are already many talented videographers out there (like Nova Films). I believe its just something small that can be added on to an engagement session with a huge impact on the end product. It captures additional memories bringing my photos alive in a completely different way.

Once Andrew and Victoria got settled in, you could really see how perfect they were for each other. With a little guidance, their playfulness, desire to be close to each other, and of course all those little kisses started to come out. As you can probably tell! The location was also great, which had an area cleared for us, while also allowing us to use the rest of the space. There were random boxes and things everywhere. With an older style elevator, a great spot to get creative!

If the slideshow was too fast, here are some of my favourite photos from this location!

Following this location, we went out to the extension bridge at the French River Provincial Park. I’ve never been there and neither had they. So, it was a new adventure for us all. I originally chose this location because I wanted to do some drone photography, but due to new laws I didn’t have enough time to prepare legally (a whole new set of laws for using drones commercially). Don’t you worry though, it will be coming soon! So, sadly there is no video for this part. No big deal, it was still a blast. Walking over the bridge had such a great view!

Here are some of my favourites from the second part of their engagement session.

With the sun at peak time, it created a lot of harsh lighting and squinting. It was nice to get to the trail after to find some shade where they could look a little more comfortable!

Thank you Victoria and Andrew for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I can’t wait ’til your wedding day this September!

Congratulations, again!!!

-Mike
