Such a fun wedding!!

From first look to couples photos, the time just passed in such a flash. With it being a shorter wedding, coverage wise, there was still lots going on!!

We started off with a first look, downtown! An escape way, something a little different (no escaping each other here lol). It created a really great feeling. I wanted Delti to wait at the top while Alysha slowly made her way up.

I know Delti was excited to see her, but we had to wait…

and wait….

Alysha messaged me to tell me she was showing up fashionably late. Surprise, surprise! lol So while he ‘patiently’ stood there, I couldn’t help but take a few photos of him looking best for his wife to be.

Finally, the beautiful bride arrived!!! I stood on an escape way across the parking lot, capturing all her steps up, until they finally could kiss and hold each other. Watching this little story unfold as the shutter on my camera clicked is truly something special! Sometimes I have a hard time not getting carried away with the moment… I have a job to do!

With the ceremony held in the solarium at the Holiday Inn, the sunlight through the vine covered windows gave a perfect natural light filled feeling.

After the ceremony we went to a nearby park for family photos, followed by bridal party photos under a bridge towards long lake! A very common spot for photos, but it was hot and sunny so I wanted to go to a place where there was shade.

Even though it’s a common spot, it still produces great shots!  The interlock wall was such a cool background, and it allowed everyone to be more comfortable… no more squinting from the sun in their eyes. Cars honked and people yelled ‘congratulations’ out their windows. Passersby really seemed to enjoy seeing everyone there. I think one person even yelled “congratulations, your life is now over! ” haha

People and their comments are funny… but the best moments in Alysha’s and Delti’s lives are just about to start!

It was time for drinks! Well… Only for the bridal party. Before Alysha and Delti could go on their ‘marry’ way (no pun intended), they had to hold off on the partying for just a little bit longer…

There was a nice field on Kelly lake that I knew would be great for some photos. Walking across the grass, over the small hills to a walkway allowed me to capture some more candid shots.

Tucked away behind the hills I wanted to get some more private and intimate moments out of them. Getting close was natural and easy for them. All I needed to do was push the button on my camera and leave the rest up to them!

As we were shooting, geese kept flying over us. We were lucky, no number 2’s bombing us, even if they say it’s good luck lol. On our way back, we saw the grass field had filled with those same geese. Would they fly away if we ran through them??

Let’s see…

blog-71

Nope. I guess geese aren’t chickens haha (not that chickens can fly). And not like doves… they just casually walked away. They parted like Moses did with the Red Sea, they just moved aside. Photo fail or not, it was fun to watch! Hehe

I finally allowed Alysha and Delti to go have some drinks. It was the end of my day, but the start to something new and special for them!

Congratulations!!! I’m so happy I was able to capture this totally awesome day for you.  Getting to know you both was super fun. These photos aren’t just a memory for you now, but also for myself.

Thank you!
