“We are so awkward in front of the camera…”

I’d be rich if I got a dollar for every time I heard that lol ! It’s not uncommon for people to feel awkward at a photo session. It always takes a little time to warm up to being comfortable in the spotlight. That’s why an engagement session is included in all my wedding packages. It’s the perfect time for me to get to know my clients at the same time as they get to know how I work. It also ensures that every photo on their wedding day will go on without a hitch!

However, it didn’t take long for Ashley and Dalton to get comfortable (even though they didn’t think so).

Baseball was something they both like to play! So, we hung out at the Terry Fox field where they could play some ball, carve their names in the sand, and horse around. It was the perfect time to just let them do their thing while I stood by and snapped a few photos. I got some funny ones, but of course we didn’t want to just have photos of them making fun of each other, although it was really fun to watch lol. We still needed to take some more serious photos, so I had them enjoy some quality time together around the field.

We headed out near Markstay to Dalton’s grandparents’ property to take advantage of the beautiful fall colours. It’s always special going to places that mean a lot to people. Knowing your photos were taken somewhere close to the heart always makes them more special every time you look at them!

Here are some of my favourites!

Congratulations Ashley and Dalton! It’s going to be an awesome wedding next summer, can’t wait!
