Last week I shot my first Couples Maternity Boudoir session!
I’ve shot many couples, boudoir and maternity sessions separately, but never as one. Yvette approached me a little while ago looking to book a regular maternity session, but as we approached the shoot day she was getting more excited and also wanted to add in some more boudoir style photos. This was something I’ve never done before, so I was totally excited to try something different!
This time in a couple’s life is special, so obviously I wanted to be able to give them just as special photos. They definitely made my job easy since these two were so easy to work with. I could tell they were super comfortable right from when they answered the door. Myles, just wearing a pair of jeans and Yvette standing there in her robe… not usually what I expect when arriving at a clients house lol. Any other session, I may have been a little weirded out, but for this, it was normal. The mood was set right off the bat!
They weren’t just comfortable then, but also when it came time to showing their love for each other in front of the camera. It seemed like I didn’t even exist… apart from the times I had to tell them “hey guys, I’m still here, settle down” lol.
This little one will be coming into the world very soon. Like really soon! The love this boy/girl (I know which it is, just don’t want to say in case it’s a secret :P) will get is obvious. They are going to be amazing parents. This is going to be one lucky child!
With every session I book, I like to go to a couple locations, different outfits at each one, allowing people to have different looks so all their photos aren’t the same.
After their little “sexy time”, we went to a close walking path for a few more typical Couples Maternity shots!
Thank you Yvette and Myles for having me capture this special time in both of your lives.
P.S. I don’t specialize in newborn photos, referring any requests to Strike a Pose by LT (cause I think their the best in town), but if these two asked, I’d definitely consider it! lol
They also had a little spectator…
